Set in the politically turbulent late 1950s, Krishnan Pillai, a playful ruffian chosen by the Church to lead a defensive force, the Christopher Sena. The story follows Abdullah (Mohanlal) who is hired by the members of a wealthy royal family to assassinate the family head Maharaja Udayavarma (Nedumudi Venu). Abdullah comes into the royal palace under the disguise Ananthan Namboothiri, a classical singer, and tries to use this mask to softly kill the Maharaja.

The plot revolves around the personal turmoil faced by the parents of a child who is to be inducted into priesthood by a monastery. The boy who led a carefree life until now has been identified as having a deep understanding of religious philosophy and scriptures at a very young age by the priests of a holy shrine. They request the family to induct the boy into priesthood to which the grandfather of the boy readily agrees to; for, he himself had aspirations of joining the shrine in the past. The parents, though not keen on parting with their child are compelled to give in on the basis of the word given by the elders of the family.

Two friends, Cleatus & Giri work together to repay their debts. As their life goes on, they meet Sreekumar who offers a solution to end their woes provided they agree to his one condition.

This film tells the story of a singer who loves his teacher's daughter.
