After the destruction of the Temple, a Shaolin disciple devotes years to mastering the Tiger style in order to defeat the martial arts master who killed his teacher. His wife, a Crane style specialist, has a feeling one style won't be enough.

The Wong family kung fu school gets smacked around by a rival school. Wong Fei-hong gets fed up with the abuse and goes to learn from his fathers master. After one of the rival schools members kills some of the towns people Wong Fei-hong becomes enraged trains even more comes back and gets his revenge.

A crippled man with an invalid son, is so greedy that he forces his wife into prostitution. Then, he makes a deal with a crime boss to pull a big heist and invites his friends from China to help. Meanwhile, Miss Fan (Yukari Oshima), the social worker who attends to Eddy, takes a liking to police officer Peter Lee (Ben Lam). The heist goes awry, and the couple gets involved in bringing the bad guys to justice. A tale of betrayal and revenge, in which law prevails at a great personal cost of its agents.

Part 1 ended with Jianbai and Su Yanan among the students fleeing the invading Japanese. Part 2 follows the efforts of all four characters to participate in the war effort. Su Yanan joins the army and fights. Jianbai enlists to be near her. A-Lan becomes a nurse at a battlefront hospital and Qiuming entertains the troops. (Grace Chang, Cathay's leading musical star at the time, performs some rousing patriotic numbers in these scenes.) Jianbai is reunited with Su in the battlefield, but...
