Aurelie Laflamme feels alone in the world, especially since her father's death five years ago. What if her father had been an alien who left Earth to return to his own planet? In that case, Aurelie would be an alien too. That would explain many things such as why she feels different from others, especially her mother, why she can't string two words together without making a mistake, and why boys really get on her nerves. Through the pages of her diary, Aurelie confides her joys and sorrows, successes and failures, love and friendships, and tries to find her place.

On December 23, the holiday season is in full force and the destinies of strangers intertwine: a hardened bachelor wants to find love; a couple expect their first child; a singer returns to the stage after a break; a mother tries to organize the perfect Christmas; a teen carries a big secret; a man struggles with the modern world; and the new manager of a large hotel must prove her worth.

Mathilde, a marginalized teenager, must move to the countryside with her family for a reason she would like to bury deep inside herself. Upon moving into her new home, she discovers that a ghost lives there. This ghost is that of Isabeau, a very friendly and sympathetic 19th-century woman who has modernized over her 150 years of wandering. These two characters will become friends and help each other through (one) life and (the other) death. While unraveling the injustices they have experienced, rooted in their respective eras, they develop deep bonds that will allow them to find peace.

Aurélie Laflamme is in fifth grade and is preparing for her prom, which she imagines will be wonderful. Surrounded by her best friend Kat, her lover Nicolas Dubuc and her best friend Tommy Durocher, Aurélie will have to face heartbreaking choices about her future and who she really wants to be. An uncompromising professor will come to confront her in her academic and professional choices. MEANWHILE, her mother, who now has a new lover, seems distant and emotional. Aurélie will have to try to understand and find a place for herself in this world which sometimes seems thankless to her.

Maude, Jennifer, Melanie, Vincent, and Sami navigate adolescence and the ups and downs of high school in a changing digital world amid the emergence of social media. The group gathers their talents and passions around the common project of revitalizing the student newspaper, with a goal toward changing the world. Brimming with optimism and fraught with anxiety, with a lot of laughs along the way the teens learn a lot about themselves as they explore relationships, commitment, and what it's like to be a teenager in the 21st century.
