Joan Daley, a New York booking/press agent, attempts to recruit two local stand-ins, Jinx Terry and Lois Morgan, when the Cuban sister-act, Marianela and Rosita she as booked into the nightclub for which she works fails to materialize. Complications arrive when the real Cuban sisters show up.

In Madrid, Spain, an omniscient narrator transforms Mari Loli and Merche, two beautiful sales clerks, into Susana and Casta, who flirt with Don Hilarión, an old apothecary, which arouses the jealousy of Julián, who is in love with Susana.

After a few years, Víctor Morel comes back to the city. He has been a happy and Bohemian man who spent an authentic fortune. His first meeting with the past is with Laura, an extraordinary woman with he had intense relationships. She is now married with Daniel Romero, a man dedicated to the business that, precisely in the last days, has had a money problem.
