Plane (Ekin Cheng), a troubled cop who hits the skids when his girlfriend Carrie (Gigi Leung) is killed by a stoic hitman named Angel (Alex Fong). One year later he finds himself saddled with new partner Turkey (Jordan Chan), an immature cop who is in love with up-and-coming idol singer Tinny Chung (Vivian Hsu). There are the usual growing pains as the two partners learn to like and trust one another. Plane meets Tinny's friend Mandy, her looks resemble Carrie's and they fall in love. Angel then returns to settle old scores.

Father Martin has raised many orphans at a Hong Kong Orphanage. After growing up, some have achieved great success; with one becoming a gangster, much to his disappointment. During a starvation relief mission in Somalia, Father Martin is killed. Cheuk looks for a job at a bar run by a girl named Beauty. In the middle of his interview, he foils what he believes is a crime being committed. In return, he gets the job. Meanwhile, desperate for money to return home to Hong Kong, a gangster named Hai and his girlfriend, Su, also begin working for Beauty. Both Cheuk and Hai become attracted to Beauty, which makes Su very jealous. Beauty finds and cares for a baby that was abandoned at their bar and conceals a dark secret.
