Nader Fallah

The film is set around three protagonists. Two run a gas station on the outskirts of town, on a road that gets next to no traffic anymore, and so they get next to no customers. They live and work out of a decrepit van on site, its windows covered in plastic. Sadry is a former strongman, now blind in one eye. He is the boss of the station. Yadi is his eager to please assistant, who usually annoys more than pleases. Finally there is the postman, Abbas, who longs to trade in his brakeless bicycle for a motorcycle, while he must care for his mentally ill brother.

Qasem is a roadblock employee at the municipality, trying to improve his life while facing problems with his wife Narges.

A free adaptation of the classic William Faulkner novel, AS I LAY DYING follows four siblings - three brothers, accompanying their only sister - as they drive to the south of Iran with their newly-deceased father's body. Their father's will demands that his body be buried in a small, faraway village, a place none of his children have ever heard of.

A thief comes out of prison and begins searching for his sister. Along the way, he meets another thief, a girl, they work together to gather money, but things don't go well.

Lantouri is the name of a gang that mugs people in broad daylight on the streets of Tehran and breaks into homes in the city’s rich northern district. The gang also kidnaps children from families who have become wealthy through corruption and embezzlement of state funds. The film begins with the confessions of individual gang members. Sociologists, human rights activists and political hardliners also have their say. Gang member Pasha runs amok because Maryam, a socially committed, self-confident journalist, does not reciprocate his feelings. The badly injured young woman demands lex talionis – the law, applicable in Iran, of ‘an eye for an eye’.

The film A Shadowless Man in the Social Genre, produced in 1397 and filmed in Iran and Spain. The director of this work, Alireza Reisian, went on to make a film without shadows after the films "Forty Years" and "The Age of Love". A Shadowless Man was screened at the 37th Fajr Festival. The story of this film deals with the emotional and marital relationship of contemporary man, who has a special look at social problems these days. The film's synopsis states that filmmaker Mahan Koushiar decides to make a documentary about a serial murder, but his life is affected.

Mash Hassan, a rural father, takes out a loan from the bank to support his family, but a flood and other unfortunate events cause him to fall into debt. The family's 13-year-old son, Qasim, heads to the city with his friends to repay the debt.

A girl who is in a relationship with a man has only a few days to decide whether to leave Iran with the man, or stay with her mother in Iran.
