When aspiring singer Liana is given a three week deadline to create a record demo, she travels to Armenia to find inspiration. Along the way she discovers a world of music, culture and love.

Based on the Armenian ‘Sharakan’, a nine-part song that brings us gradually closer to meaning, Maria Saakyan’s new film further develops the poetic invention apparent in her first feature, The Lighthouse. Focusing on the world of a 14-year-old girl, Evridika, who is experiencing the first extremes of adolescent emotion, it makes effective and imaginative use of her private world centred on internet chat rooms and mobile phone recordings.

Feature film created by 10 famous Armenian film directors and scriptwriters. The movie consists of 10 short stories lasting about seven minutes each, "10 life stories" beaded like "pearls" on an "endless thread" called Yerevan. Each story is shot in a definite genre and differs from the rest by its concept as well as signature, yet all the stories integrate into a bright mosaic, reflecting nowadays Yerevan life.

A journey to a dream through an encounter between Suna, a twelve-year-old girl who uses leaves as a blanket, and an old man who possesses secret knowledge. A reflection on friendship between a father and a daughter, a teacher and a student, an adult and a child, and the path that can turn the impossible into possible… The invented letters are inspired by the old Armenian symbols.
