Once again, 23 Brazilian filmmakers come together for the second Tropical SOV anthology, now exploring sci-fi in humorous stories involving aliens and their space invasions, mad scientists, time travel, dystopias, and a myriad of end-of-the-world scenarios.

In this anthology of horror episodes, 13 bizarre stories are told by independent film directors of Southern Brazil. Between ghosts, serial killers and demons, they conduct their strange, very strange stories.

Four directors presents four episodes about one of the most terrifying legends from Brazil: the Sanguanel, a Italian creature who terrorized European immigrants in the 19th century.

One summer morning, Mr Baiestorf forgets how to put on flip-flops, takes a deep breath, opens a beer and goes to the beach to spend a day full of love and great emotions.

Carlos finds himself troubled by a powerful restlessness. At the same time his analyst is obsessed with the idea that he should delete Carlos in order to save his island. A mysterious photographer wanders through the São Paulo nightlife, in search for another subject for her work. An unusual encounter will lead to a mix of feelings and sensations.

Marcus is not having a good day. He never seems to have a good day. He has to smash in his rear window just to get out of his Volkswagen Beetle, having parked it too close between two other cars. He has to do all the dirty work in the office, while his spoiled rich kid colleague cooks the books for profit and shamelessly flirts with all his female co-workers. He’s attracted to his next-door neighbor who gets beaten and cheated upon by her boyfriend, but she doesn’t want to leave him. And he gets robbed at knife-point right outside his apartment building. Marcus manages to take the knife and chase away his attacker, but not before he gets stabbed in the shoulder. The incident awakens something dark in Marcus. He becomes a man with a mission, determined to set right all the injustice done to him. But ones the blood starts flowing, there’s no going back.

In the wild island of Pazúcus, everything is hopeless. Oréstia & Omar seek to harmonize their relationship in a camp and find themselves gradually oppressed by nature, which changes from paradisiac to hellish. Simultaneously, inside Carlos’ intestines, fecal monsters plot his demise. This stomachic confusion makes him an easy prey for the obsessive Dr. Roberto. The paranoia, the sorcery, the madness and the prophetic voice lead their destinies to a place where the dissolution of all beings appears to be the only possibility of communion.

In their quest to exterminate the “pink” people of the world and invoke the return of their messiah, the “bostauros” end up opening a different portal. The incorrect reading of the mysterious book connects them to the House of 7 Vampires: a clan of thirsty vamps who have lived in scarcity of human blood for centuries. Mr. Baiestorf is back in the land of magic, and now he has arranged to film a documentary with us about the wonders of the city... but he hasn't shown up yet...
