The director of films for kids called Bonzurka together with her loyal assistants Drahuska and Honza are looking for the actors for a new movie "The Knee". Children for this movie should not be afraid and shy and they must have talent for acting. Thus the scouting is quite difficult. The most difficult is to find an actress for a main character who lost her hair after a serious illness and now has to spent the whole holiday in the countryside with a bald head resembling a knee. Although the makeup artist does his best an artificial baldness does not solve anything. From the selected little girls only the self-assertive Rosemary has the guts to let her long hair to be cut and shave off her head.

Three friends - Tomás, Hubert and Jozka - are boys growing up in a little town. Tomás lives with his aunt Apolena and uncle Václav. Tomás is a boy with lots of ideas that often end up getting him into trouble not only with his teachers and aunt, but with the other inhabitants of the town as well. He has a crush on his schoolmate Blanka and for her sake he decides to try to get the prize for the best pupil in the school.

Hana is a psychologist and a thoroughly independent woman. Her unemployed husband, jealous of his wife, finds a younger girlfriend, but their teenage son Honzik is frustrated; everyone ignores him. Hana's patient Eva, an attractive middle-aged woman, is having problems with her 25-year-old son; she is in love with her son's friend and her son is offended by her behavior. To complete the circle, he falls in love with Hana and Honzik is utterly disgusted by their affair. The sun is shining, the river is sparkling, and a boating group sets off downstream for a holiday adventure. Led by the enthusiastic leader Tom, they travel down the river in two punts and a kayak. The peaceful journey is disrupted by a group of gypsies who bombard the boats from the bridge with plastic bags filled with water. That same day, the boaters and the gypsies meet again. Despite the tense atmosphere, both parties try to make peace, but it doesn't last long. The situation worsens when one of the girls loses the group's money. The boaters still want to continue their journey. Tom therefore declares a state of shipwreck, and everyone gathers together the remaining money and supplies. When some of the money is lost, suspicion falls on the gypsies, whom the boaters have met again. However, it soon turns out that the thief is someone from the group. Disputes break out, distrust grows into open hostility, and tension builds...

Three stories from the school environment, mostly from the perspective of teachers. In the first story we see an unnecessarily strict teacher, in the middle one a sports career is glossed over, which causes a young teacher to leave his job. In the final story, on the other hand, an experienced high school teacher goes to teach in a rural school to gain inner peace.

Men in the pub first indicate and then say to Juraj directly that Polana has been unfaithful to him with Stepán.

Pan Tau always had a gentle expression and a friendly smile, he was elegantly dressed in a stroller, with an umbrella and a white carnation in the lapel.
