In the wake of a disaster, Alice and her husband Petros take their young son Panagiotis to a provincial seaside town, seeking refuge. Working temporary jobs, Alice and Petros try to put their lives back together so they can return home to Athens. When Alice begins to realise the plan is not working – or worse, that it may not even exist – the distance between her and Petros begins to grow.

With the economic crisis in the background of the story, Bill, the main character of the film decides to change his life. Within the same day loose his, meets Alice in a café, decides to break up with Katerina, an older woman, with were related. 'Alice in the café' is a film with a sufficient dose of humor for relations of people in today's worldwide situation and the courage and determination that one must have to get important decisions about his life.

Jimmy, Mary and Makis are three people living their everyday day life in an entirely different manner. They seem to have nothing in common and normally they shouldn’t even know each other…

The film team is also received by Father Epiphanios - a gifted and poetic cook who certainly does not disdain the pleasures of life.
