A young and shy dragon lives in the forest. One day the young Miguelito stumbles upon the dragon. Together they travel to a nearby town in despair. The Bord of Happiness has been stolen by a mean witch! Together, Miguelito and the dragon try to free the Bird of Happiness.

For his mockery a witch transforms the pert boy Jacob into an ugly dwarf, but teaches him at the same time how to cook. Jacob quickly becomes a master of his trade and is named the prince's first cook. Only the mysterious herb "sneeze-with-passion" is unknown to him. Based on a fairy tale by Wilhelm Hauff.

Animated short film based on the Andersen tale. A king envies his son for the carefree way he spends his days and wants to find him a wife. She must not only be beautiful, but also particularly sensitive, which she must prove with the pea test in bed. The first, a hard-working peasant girl, is sent home immediately, the second leaves of her own accord because she finds the prince too boring, the third passes the test and marries the prince. Now he becomes king, and the old man retires to feed swans from now on.

Two children, a boy and a girl, are each given a piggy bank. The boy is unimpressed and happily continues to spend his money. The girl takes every opportunity to "feed" her beautiful pig quite often. She is rewarded for this exemplary behavior with a ride to toyland.

Four gentlemen play house music with dedication and enthusiasm. They don't let anything get in their way. One of the four is put behind bars by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution because his scientific work is being published in the GDR. A NATO maneuver rages around the house and intrudes into their private lives. The roof catches fire and half the house collapses. The musicians continue to play the well-known canon: "Heaven and earth may pass away, but the musicians..."

The folk song "Between mountain and deep, deep valley..." is illustrated. Two hares think the hunter has shot them dead. When they realize that this is not the case, they happily hop away.

What would happen if Hitler came back to West Germany after passing the statute of limitations for Nazi crimes on January 1, 1965? Based on West German laws, he would not only be able to reclaim his private property, but also a restitution. In addition, he could demand to get his power back and the reintegration of German areas into the Reich.

A family of mice meet a little blue mouse on their Sunday walk. The little mouse politely asks them to give him some of their cake. The mouse parents don't want to know anything about the strange fellow and forbid their children to have any contact with him. The little ones continue to play anyway. In a painter's studio, they discover various paint pots, and the horrified parents are suddenly presented with three colorful mice that they no longer know are their own children. When they are all washed up, three gray mice stand before them. In shock, the parents fall into a pot of blue paint and see that there can be blue mice after all.

A cowardly king becomes dependent on an evil prince who desires the king's daughter as his wife. As the princess does not want to marry, she is banished to a barren valley as a cattle maid. The king flees and the prince now rules the land with his robber journeymen. On his wanderings, journeyman Hans comes to the lonely valley and defeats the king's daughter's guards. On his further journey, he encounters destruction and devastation. He frees a miller and learns from him that the land can be redeemed from the cruel prince if a fearless person spends one night in the castle.

Faustus wants to invent a fire that is stronger than all previous flames. Then death approaches him. In order to prolong his life, he makes a pact with Mephistopheles. When he has found the fire, he burns the contract and is ready to die. Death shows him life in the form of Margaret, with whom Faust falls in love. In order to regain his youth, he sells the flame to Mephisto. Faust enjoys the idyll of love while the Black Knight, Mephisto's servant, subdues the land with fire. When Faust refuses to enter the service of evil, his wife, child and home are destroyed by the flame. Faust makes another pact with Mephisto and invents a fire that blows up knights and devils. This time, Death orders him to discover the fire of life.

East German stop-motion animation version of the famous fairy tale, notable for its Beast appearing as an elephant.

With the young Friedrich Engel’s letters and drawings from the years between 1838 and 1842, a unique cinematic portrait is created. The viewer thus gets to know the young Engels personally, learning about the significant moments of his development from a bourgeois-liberal upbringing to the theoretical partner of Karl Marx. Fortunately, the twelfth fairy has not yet made her wish and is able to alleviate the curse: Sleeping Beauty then stabs herself with a spindle on her fifteenth birthday and falls into a hundred-year sleep, from which a king's son releases her with a kiss.

Riding outside, the princess and the court juggler Honorio discover a fire in the marketplace. Honorio kills a tiger that has escaped from the jugglers, a lion is tamed by a boy's wonderful flute playing and returned to the jugglers, whose livelihood it provides.

The Prince of Porcelain, who only knows how to play with vain ladies in a cool porcelain world, wants to own the poor potters' myrtle tree. It was given to them instead of a child. The prince is sick with longing. The potter couple bring him the myrtle tree. He falls in love with it and one night discovers that a beautiful girl lives in it.
