Mansur Mammadov

Story of a painter hiding in the attic claiming to be French and refusing to speak Azerbaijani even with his family. To return him to his roots, his family and in-laws try different methods.

In capital city Baku, eminent editor Yusef Abranov and director Mehmet are determined to get their latest movie made by any means necessary, after being shut down by the bankrupt national studio. Following various schemes, the only way left to raise the cash is to marry off Yusef’s son to the daughter of the rich guy who’s bought Yusef’s bizarre, mirror-filled house.

Film exposes the corruption and the decadence of the late Soviet bureaucracy in Azerbaijan SSR through the eyes of a naive Azerbaijani adult man, Hatem.

Madina is a young married woman who is mentally strong despite the problems she encounters.She has no children and her relationship with her husband is bad, although he loves her.She makes carpets which is a way for her to express her feelings. One day, she meets a man working in a circus. She gets to know him better and becomes transformed by him as he helps her improve her husband and the carpets she creates.

The events occur during the Nagorno-Karabakh War. Because of a corpse in a zinc coffin with an arguable address, two families get excited. Having cut the lid off the coffin to identify the soldier, they find out that he is, in fact, Armenian - former citizen of Baku.

The events in the film take place in one of the modern cities. The editor-in-chief Rustam Agayev (Egit Iskenderov) finds an ancient lamp placed in the jaw. For the talented but poor character Rustam, this lamp shatters the sky. With the help of jinn, the young man suceeds: his play is made on anchor; his girlfriend, Maya (Natalia Tagiyeva), agrees to marry him, and the bar is in the apartment. But Rustam wants to achieve everything. When the jinn throws away his "owner," he unveils the secret: a person must believe in his own power, and there must be a strong desire to create miracles.

The comedy mocks the vestiges of the past, which sometimes exist among educated people with kind, sympathetic and generous hearts.
