Fifi (Paramitha Rusady) runs away from home as she does not want to marry the man chosen for her by her parents. She then meets Kadir (Kadir), an honest but unlucky young man, who has come to Jakarta with his younger brother, Doyok (Doyok Sudarmadji), to try their fortune. Failing, Doyok returns alone to his village. Kadir also goes home to the village, but with Fifi. But as a city person from a rich family, she is not used to the village life. Kadir keeps working for her, such as selling frogs, which is a mistake as the frogs he sells are not edible. The inedible frog becomes a big joke. Finally, Kadir and Fifi return to the city just when Fifi is going to be engaged to Tomo (Rudy Salam), her parents’ intended. But Fifi is already in love with Kadir. Kadir leaves because he does not want to be insulted, but Fifi goes after him and runs away from home.

Structured as a film within a film, Rhoma Irama and his girlfriend, Aida, are hired to make a film by Leo and his right hand, Richard. While Rhoma has several shows in the same city, Leo pursues his criminal activities. For him, moviemaking is a camoulflage for his crimes. Richard, who is still in love with Aida, tries to separate Rhoma from the girl. While filming a scene, Rhoma is stabbed for real. While Rhoma is in hospital, Imron, a Rhoma impersonator is introduced. Then a scenario is written for Richard to get Aida. Later, Rhoma impersonates Imron and pulls Imron’s girlfriend Nina out from prostitution. Finally, Rhoma is able to solve the whole drama and Aida is back in his arms. Rhoma’s songs, which are his trademark and selling point, continue to be used.

Albert Rumantir, a wealthy widowed businessman, lives with his two sons, Frans and Tommy. They receive a telegram from Manila, sent by Mrs. Rudolf Rumantir, about an inheritance. Rudolf Rumantir was Albert’s late father. Albert is hesitant when he receives the news, as he is reluctant to look after his stepmother. Frans argues that he is busy, so Tommy is the one who picks up and deals with the step grandmother. He is told that she must not be brought home. It turns out that Mrs. Rumantir is very young and beautiful. In accordance to his father’s wishes, Tommy takes her to a hotel. Tommy is having fun and Frans joins in. Finally, Albert also finds out and has dirty thoughts. Albert decides to bring his stepmother home. Seeing their bad intentions, she hauls her son and grandsons to a better life, full of morality and responsibility.
