"Promised Land" tells the story of a group of young unwitting Estonian girls smuggled through Egypt to be auctioned off as prostitutes in Israel, and of their initiation into this trade of flesh, and finally of the accidental freeing of one girl who most fight for her freedom.

We are led by Weinraub and his friend Ruso on a day that begins with quiet city streets, but ends with death, destruction and devastation of both body and mind. Various scenes are awash in the surreal, as Weinraub's head hangs out over a rescue helicopter's open door, watching with tranquil desperation as the earth passes beneath, the overpowering whir of the blades creating a hypnotic state. It is not a traditional blood, guts and glory film. There are no men in battle, only the rescue crew trying to pick up the broken pieces.

Moshe Amar is a once poet and now a "businessman" who left his wife with their new born in Israel twenty years ago and spent them in the land of limitless possibilities trying to leave a mark of immortality but, up to that point, only got the marks that frantic debt collectors are more than happy to give. Tsach is the abandoned son who is now a skilled sniper in the Israeli Army. Tsach resents his father for both abandoning his mother for 21 years and not attending her funeral.

"Kemo gedolim" is a collection of well known Israeli, children songs sang by Ariḳ Ainshṭain and others. In between the songs embedded short skits starring Moni Moshonov and Tsevi Shisel , who embody two porters hauling a giant crate up a winding staircase and unexpectedly run into Ariḳ, a group of kids, jugglers, clowns and storytellers emerging from the crate. The two, try to do their job faithfully but occasionally they also try to sing, dance and play, which creates a variety of funny moments.
