Huguette Duflos

The story of the seven pearls of the English Crown, from Henry VIII to 1937 – three of them missing.

To fulfill her Father's wish, Grand Duchess Aurora (Huguette Duflos) is forced into an unhappy marriage with Grand Duke Rudolph (Henry Houry). He prepares to leave for the Congo but is murdered by his own brother (Georges Vaultier). Aurora goes to Paris with her father and, there, is told on the phone of her husband's death. After returning to the Kingdom, she meets a tutor (Jaque Catelain) who falls in love with her..

The film portrays the events on the day King Henri III of France arranged for Duke Henri de Guise to be murdered.

Nadia de Hock breaks her engagement to another man because of her love to the marquis d'Areghi. She lives a life of pleasure until Areghi reveals he is just an adventurer who has just killed his brother. He asks her to sign a letter so he can use her as his alibi. Some time later, Areghi is attacked by Nadia's guard dogs as he tries to see her. He dies as she forgives him for the pain he caused her.

Discovering his wife's relationship with a middle-class snob, a husband tries his best to break this relationship by the seducer himself and ends up leaving with his wife for another wedding night in Venice.

France under Louis XIII. 1615. The Duke of Angoulême is at the head of a group of gentlemen who are conspiring to drive the Florentines out of court, of whom Concini is the all-powerful leader. The story takes place on the Riviera, where the title character may or may not be involved in various shades of skullduggery, including murder.
