Summer of 1945. The salute of the Great Victory died down and the country is gradually returning to peaceful life. From "fire yes into the fire" a young reconnaissance commander Volodya Sharapov falls, having come to the MUR for distribution, to the department for combating banditry. In the city the Black Cat gang rages, terrifying Muscovites. Captain Gleb Zheglov enters the fray with the bandits, for whom Sharapov soon becomes his right hand.

A young filmmaker Ihor finds a hidden and unpublished photo archive of his grandfather Leonid Burlaka, a famous Soviet cinematographer. Discovering a man that he never knew well enough through the damaged pictures, he gets closer to his dementing grandpa, facing the tension between memory and forgetting.

The director of a large metallurgical plant, Zorenko, develops and sends to the ministry a project for the reorganization of the enterprise, although the implementation of the plan would require a shutdown of production. Gruzdev, a responsible employee of the ministry, fearing a decrease in overall targets, insists on a partial reorganization. Under pressure from "above" Zorenko signs a project that he considers unacceptable. But realizing the illegality of the decision, he resumes the struggle for the radical reorganization of the plant.

It was the last days of June 1942. The fascist troops were tearing towards Sevastopol, and fighting was already going on in the city itself. Ships of the Black Sea Fleet had already broken through to Sevastopol more than once, delivering replenishment, ammunition and weapons. And now, destroyers "Daring" and "Stremitelny" receive a new order to go to Sevastopol. This way is known to sailors well enough, but the fascists repeatedly mined the only fairway to Sevastopol, and enemy aircraft constantly attacking destroyers. At the cost of losing the "Daring" sailors manage to break through to Sevastopol. But the hardest tests fall to the sailors on the way back, when overloaded with wounded "Stremitelny" returns to his native port.

In the autumn of 1943, a factory school was set up in one of the rear towns to train turners. Teenagers evacuated from different cities who lost their parents during the war study and work here. The boys are helping the front with their selfless work...
