S. P. Pillai

Bharya is a 1962 Malayalam language film starring Sathyan and Ragini in the lead roles. It was directed by Kunchacko based on a novel with the same title by Kanam EJ. The novel was based on the controversial Thiruvalla Ammalu murder case.

Kunjikrishna Menon is the head of a joint family. His son Kesavankutty is in love with Kochammini, Menon's sister's daughter, while Balan, Kochammini's brother, is in love with Menon's daughter.

The film is based on a novel by Parappurath and portrays the trials the Indo-China war.

Kodungallooramma is a 1968 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed and produced by Kunchacko. The film stars Prem Nazir, K. R. Vijaya, Adoor Bhasi and Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair. It was based on the Tamil poem Chilappathikaram by Ilango Adigal and also tells the story of Kodungallur Bhagavathy Temple, where the leading deity is also considered as Kannaki, the heroine of Chilappathikaram. The film had musical score by K. Raghavan.

On his pilgrimage to a temple to immerse the ashes of his mother in the sacred river, Rakhavan befriends a tribal family. He comes across the lives of the tribal people and their struggle.

Karutthamma, the daughter of a Hindu fisherman, falls in love with a Muslim fish trader. However, social prejudices seem to ruin their love life and invite the wrath of their communities.

Vidhyarthikale Ithile Ithile is a 1972 Indian Malayalam film, directed by John Abraham and produced by Minnal. The film stars Madhu, Jayabharathi, Adoor Bhasi and Paul Vengola in lead roles. The film had musical score by MB Sreenivasan.

The film focused mainly on the evil of dowry system which was rampant in the Muslim community of Kerala

Jnanambika, the heroine of the film, is the daughter of a wealthy landlord, Rajasekharan. After the death of her mother, her father marries again. Rajamani, the villainous second wife tortures Jnanambika, forcing her to run away from home.

An orphan raised by the local priest becomes a teacher and falls in love with the rich school headmaster's daughter. Despite opposition from her father, he quits his job and marries her.

A poor music student Madhavan seeks accommodation in Menon's house. Menons daughter Malathi and Madhavan are drawn to each other.

Soman is brought up by his elder brother Raju and his shrewish wife Janu. Soman is in love with Lakshmi, the daughter of a poor village performer Kaniyan who belongs to a lower caste. Raju, employed by the zamindar and Janu resent the inter-caste marriage between Soman and Lakshmi.

Pearl View is a 1970 Indian Malayalam film, directed and produced by Kunchacko. The film stars Prem Nazir, Sharada, Adoor Bhasi and Manavalan Joseph in lead roles. The film had musical score and songs composed by G. Devarajan.

Kannum Karalum is a Malayalam language film starring Sathyan, Ambika Sukumaran, Sukumari, Kamal Haasan, and Vinodini. This was the first Malayalam film of Kamal Haasan - he played Sathyan's son. Vinodini was a child artist when she did this film and she did a dual role in this movie. The climax scenes of this film was shot on the top of the Sreenarayana Guru memorial at Varkala, Sivagiri. The movie has been produced by A. K. Balasubramaniam under the banner of Saravana Pictures
