Rejected by the military and frowned upon by his fellow villagers, a young man nicknamed 'Genius' falls into a series of dangerous love affairs during World War II.

Japan, 1944. Trained for intelligence work, Hiroo Onoda, 22 years old, discovers a philosophy contrary to the official line: no suicide; stay alive whatever happens; the mission is more important than anything else. Sent to Lubang, a small island in the Philippines where the Americans are about to land, this role will be to wage a guerrilla war until the return of the Japanese troops. The Empire will surrender soon after; Onoda, 10,000 days later.

Three young boys drunkenly rape a woman named Emiko, the wife of a man they've developed a friendship with. She dies of heart failure during the attack. Her chicken farmer husband, incapable of dealing with her death tends to her corpse as though it were still alive completely unable to accept her demise.

Factory worker Osamu (Akira Sakai) has been despondent ever since he saw his girlfriend getting gang-raped. He has a difficult time thinking of anything else. Meanwhile, his boss asks him for a favor. Apparently, the bossman’s son is too-o-o serious about a girlfriend, Yuki (Minako Mizushima). The boss wants the relationship destroyed and asks Osamu to arrange an “unforgettable situation.” Osamu and his friends stalk the lovers to a secluded vacation house where rape delirium erupts (although Osamu isn’t capable of participating). A bit later the boss and two women show up, presumably to check on the results. But Osamu’s gang is completely unhinged from the assault and they attack the newcomers, turning the place into a sexual hell.

A junior high school student spends his nights hanging out at the disco. At home his parents are more interested in swapping partners with willing couples than spending time with their son. One evening, while shoplifting, a young woman gives him a hand and helps him pull off the snatch. Mesmerized by the woman he follows her to where she lives. After he makes a fumbled attempt at raping her she lets him stay and they spend a lazy summer together.

A shiftless husband who drinks to excess stumbles through relationships with his former lover, his wife and his new young mistress.

A movie based on Saikaku Ihara’s “Five Women Who Loved Love”, which depicts women such as strippers and married women becoming hostesses in a pink salon.
