Lisa is a judge, 44 years opld and divorced. She lives with her 18 year old son Georg. For seven years she has had a weekend relationship with Felix. Suddenly her life takes a drastic turn when she falls for 23 old law trainee Rudi.

Set in an old suburb of Vienna traversed by the local railway line and full of old dilapidated houses. In this district, and old man lives and when his neighbour dies and new tenants move in his existence is transformed.

Two young Europeans - Eva, a journalist, and her cousin, Mike, a filmmaker, want to make a film about the secret cult of the Makonde in Mozambique: "Magic Africa". On the hunt after the secret cult, Eva becomes aware of the heritage of colonialism: unemployment and civil war. Mike has only one thing in mind - to sell their travel film.

Ralph suffers from burnout. And is a reptiloid. A film crew portrays the once successful businessman in his cluttered apartment and investigates the question of whether Ralph is really a lizard man who seeks world domination, or a lonely, confused man who is really just looking for love and attention.
