Institutional film made for Petrobras in 1958, through a public announcement, about the company's actions for the training of technicians specialized in petroleum engineering.

A middle-aged man builds a summer house in Cabo Frio, Rio de Janeiro. Married to a beautiful woman, father of two and with a successful career, the house is a symbol of his personal achievements. But as the wind, the salt and the sand threaten to invade the breaches of the house, their marriage begins to crumble. And, like a bad omen, a mysterious murder takes place in the vicinity.

One Saturday night at a Rio carnival. Filmed in the famous 'Elite', using direct sound, it faithfully documents all the stages of the party: the preparation of the hall, the bar, the regulars, the orchestra, the music, the dance and the characteristic types, all forming a large panel popular power and poetry.

A man and a woman meet in the middle of a newly inaugurated Brasília. In search of a love affair, they settle in his residence, where they live an intimate drama marked by intellectual, moral and erotic ghosts.

Upon learning that his rich dad is on the brink of bankruptcy, spoiled Vavá summons his friend Jandir with a plan to get some quick cash: they will blackmail an uncle of Vavá by taking compromising photos of his lover, Leda.

The documentary discusses the importance of artistic teaching in the elementary school curriculum, showing the role of the arts - be it music, painting, sculpture, theater or cinema - in the training of students.

The construction of the Brasilia dream is blurred in precious scenes that preceded the opening of the city, filmed as sombre. What will be the future of these buildings and monuments? What will become of the future of these workers?

From a screening of "Antes, o Verão" (1968) in the Cinematheque of the Museum of Modern Artes of Rio de Janeiro, in 2005, "Reencontro com o Cinema" follows the rediscovery of the life and works of filmmaker Gerson Tavares, who hadn't worked with cinema in 30 years.
