Life Is a Trumpet has a loose jazz musician as the groom, a butcher as his father, and two families of different backgrounds whose members are not as different as one might expect.

The Fall. Two school kids on the bridge are about to admit something very important. On the same day, the avalanche of events unfolded between men, by no means are randomly directed to each other. It will result in one stopping of the elevator, one wheelchair, one night tram, one suicide thread, PTSP, wild sex, difference between the years, long silence and driving in the unknown, standing in the rain, a brutal confession, a video from the past, the deception of the deaf refugee, the traces of the Second World War and a gentle kiss.

Boris and Ana are spouses who dream of living in Brussels, where he would build his political career, and she would live a life worthy of a high-ranking politician’s wife. Their idea fails when Ana’s sister and her non-working husband settle in their home permanently, but also sisters’ father Drago.

Alen’s sudden downfall at the peak of his career triggers a series of personal and legal upheavals as an injury, a failed transfer, and a broken relationship lead him into a court battle handled by young attorney Maja Romić.

Series follow a complicated love story in which main characters' love comes to a test because of Sonja's life dilemmas.
