August 13, 1961: The passengers on the interzonal train from Munich to East Berlin learn 3½ hours before crossing the border that the Wall is being built in Berlin. They have 3½ hours to make a life-changing decision: to get off the train or keep going.

Fiona, a tenancy lawyer from the big city, wants to spend a weekend in the Black Forest with her boyfriend. He is having fun with business partners on the golf course, she is taking part in a wellness program. When a fallen tree blocks the road to the hotel, the young woman comes into contact with grumpy logger Sascha and finds shelter on Josef and Marlies' farm. What Fiona experiences there makes her think about her life. What's more, she suddenly feels attracted to the taciturn woodcutter.

Even though everyday life separates them, sisters Rike and Nicola go on vacation together once a year. They take it in turns to organize their trip. Their trips are just as different as the two of them themselves, so that the trip to Salamanca in Spain once again presents new challenges. Because what Rike doesn't know is that Nicola has organized a volunteering vacation on the Camino de Santiago for the sisters.

Bella is a single mother business and mother trapped in the normal everyday insanity. Nevertheless, she is happy. But from now on, everything gets out of hand. The house, in which the elderly-shared apartment of Bella's father and their own physiotherapy practice are located, is to be sold and renovated. Bella would not be Bella if she was not determined and would fight with all her might against the injustice and sale of the house. But as she juggles with family, her practice, PR campaigns, demos and squatters, Bella needs to realize that even her power is not endless.
