GREAT PERFORMANCES captures The Moody Blues in performance at Toronto’s Sony Centre during their 2017 “Days of Future Passed” tour. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of their landmark album, The Moody Blues took to the road to perform the entire LP live. The concert special showcases the band in performance for the first time with a full orchestra in a spectacle that recreates their pioneering concept album.

This unique longform video "LEGEND OF A BAND," chronicles the twenty-five year history of The Moody Blues, proving their long standing reputation for creating some of the most haunting, melodic and rythmic rock classics.

Formed in 1964, the Moody Blues emerged as one of the most renowned bands of the psychedelic era. Between 1965 and 1973, the band had 7 Top-30 singles on the Billboard Pop Singles chart, including their classic "Nights In White Satin", which soared to #2 on the charts. After a 5-year hiatus, they returned in the late 70’s with several minor hits, until releasing "Your Wildest Dreams" in 1986, which peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart (and went #1 on the Adult Contemporary charts). The Moody Blues’ lone appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival occurred on July 3, 1991 at the Montreux Casino, while in support of their Keys Of The Kingdom album. The group (which includes long-time members Justin Hayward, Graeme Edge, John Lodge, and Ray Thomas) performs a number of their biggest hits, including "Gemini Dream", "Nights In White Satin", "I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock & Roll Band)", and "Your Wildest Dreams".

The Moody Blues, famous for their swirling symphonic sounds, fill up the famous Royal Albert Hall with their melancholy melodies. Backed by the World Festival Orchestra conducted by Larry Baird, the Moodies muster up the music that made them famous, including all of their fans' favorites.

In late August 1970, shortly after the release of their album "A Question Of Balance," The Moody Blues took to the stage of the Isle of Wight Festival in front of an audience estimated at over half a million. The band were at their creative and commercial peak after a succession of albums that had enjoyed unprecedented global success. This film from award winning director Murray Lerner combines the band's live performance from the 1970 festival with archive footage and new interview with Graeme Edge, Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Mike Pinder setting the band's performance in the context of the time.
