A farcical story about Raju, a village boy who comes to the city after failing college. He tries to make a new life for himself, encountering a generous chieftain and navigating a series of comical misadventures and schemes to impress people. The film satirizes common societal behaviors and urban life through its humorous plot.

Set in the Ottoman Empire, it deals with the Caesar's (Pande) army and its skirmishes with the local Muslim rulers. The Sultan's (Asooji) son Ziyad (Kumar) is arrested by the Roman army. The Roman princess Rahil falls in love with him. A Muslim maid Leela (Sitara Devi) and the princess help him escape. Long chase scenes and fights follow, which ultimately lead to success for Ziyad and his people.

Lovers Dara (Azad) and Angoori (Indira) are parted due to Angoori’s father, who does not approve of the match. But after Dara wins an athletic competition, a priest sees to it that the young couple is united in marriage. Dara and his brother, Shahbaaz, travel on business to a faraway city and encounter Rufy, the owner of the lodge where they have sought shelter. Rufy takes a liking to the handsome Dara, but Dara rebuffs her advances. Angered by this, Rufy seeks the assistance of a witch to put a spell on Dara so that he will forget his wife and fall in love with her alone.

Raj Kumar is a wealthy businessman and dislikes everything ugly. When his wife, Kamla, becomes pregnant and gives birth to an ugly son, he asks the attending Dr. Mathur to inform his wife that their child was still-born. Dr. Mathur places the child in the hands of Rahmat and his wife, Naseeban, who welcome him with open arms. But misfortune follows them, as the child, who is named Pyare, accidentally burns their dwelling down, killing Naseeban. Rahmat then re-locates to his village when he teaches Pyare the skills required to play musical instruments and sing. Years later, Rahmat passes away, and informs Pyare that he is really a Hindu. Dr. Mathur fills the rest of the blanks for Pyare, and arranges a song and dance play and hopes that Raj will overcome his dislike for his now-grown son.

Akhtar Hussain saves the life of Nawab Salim, and earns his gratitude. Salim invites Akhtar to come to his palatial home, and Akhtar does so. On the way, he meets beautiful Saltanat, and falls in love with her. On arrival at Salim's house, Akhtar is treated with utmost respect, provided employment, and a place to live. Akhtar meets with Saltanat and both plan to get married. Unknown to them, Salim also loves Saltanat, but Saltanat rejects his advances, and proposal, leaving his heartbroken. Soon Saltanat and Akhtar get married and settle down. Saltanat soon gives birth to a son. Salim is very affectionate with this child, and the child too grows to like Salim. Akhtar, meanwhile, has fallen in bad company, drinks alcohol, and romances a courtesan.

Ali Baba finds a cave of treasures belonging to a gang of bandits. When the bandits realize there have been intruders, they seek revenge. Ali Baba must try to outwit his pursuers before he gets killed.

After his brother gets married to his former lover, a playboy meets a French archeologist and his daughter as they are studying the Ellora Caves.
