The Italian girl, who wants to take the child left with the "Emanetçi Anne" and bring it to its parents, finds herself caught up in a series of interesting events.

Kahraman is a naive and right-minded guy. In a lovely Anatolian town, he earns a living as an attendant in a Turkish bath inherited from his great grandfathers. One day, a wealthy constructor named Tuncay wants to demolish the bath and the marketplace it is located in, and build a mall in their place. Barber Cemil, Kahraman's enemy, convinces the craftsmen in the marketplace and collaborates with Tuncay to start the demolishment immediately. Kahraman does not want the marketplace he was born into to be demolished and he does not believe in the empty promises of Tuncay.

Written by Yılmaz Erdoğan and first staged at the Beşiktaş Cultural Center (BKM) in 1995, Otogargara ran for four seasons to sold-out audiences. The play was also performed 468 times in many provinces and districts of Anatolia between 1995 and 1999, in addition to Ankara and İzmir. During its run at BKM, Otogargara was directed by Turgay Kantürk and featured Yılmaz Erdoğan, Demet Akbağ, Sinan Bengier, Olgun Şimşek, Zerrin Sümer, Erdoğan Dikmen, Gürdal Tosun, Evrim Solmaz, and Serhat Özcan, along with 22 other actors and dancers. It was the first play produced by BKM.

Following Salih's petitions, the ministry takes action and prepares a project to bring order to family life in the village and resolve the existing issues. According to the project, everyone will have a formal wedding, and those who do not marry their relatives will be entitled to receive the deeds to the houses they live in and the fields they cultivate. After beginning to compile a list of those eligible to marry, Salih is met with an unexpected outcome. According to the list, people are separated from their loved ones and matched with others, leading to a complicated situation.
