The landowner (Agha) of the Haraptar village marries off his old father with the young and beautiful Kiraz. But on the nuptial night, his father dies and everything starts to go bad for the Agha. The story is based on the memories of writer-director Yılmaz Erdoğan of the last summer of his childhood in Hakkâri, Turkey in 1980.

The theme song is an edited version of "Gündüz Gece" by Âşık Veysel Şatıroğlu who is also named "Uzun Ince bir Yoldayım" which was a famous Turkish folk music and Veysel was the famous one for this song.
