Mayday Life Tour is linked by four distinct segments and the story is unveiled in “Yesterday’s Rumbling Fun”.

Ah Lei is the younger brother of Stone, a guitarist of Mayday. He is also the administrator of Mayday's fansite, in charge of replying to fan letters and emails. One day, he befriended a girl named Zhao Xuan through a chatroom. He told her that he's actually Ashin, the lead vocal of Mayday. She started writing letters to him, believing that he was Ashin. Finally, Xuan's peking opera group from school gets to leave Harbin and travel to Taiwan to perform. The two promised to meet in a library, but Ah Lei didn't have the courage to meet up with her. He decides to follow her around, but did not expect that she followed him back, and that she saw through his lies all along.

Billed as a "concept film" MAYDAY 3DNA combines play from the group's DNA concert tour in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and China 2010 and interweaves that with three fictional stories. The fictional sequences include a vignette about a Guangzhou father and daughter; another about a Taiwan taxi driver and passenger; and a third about a Shanghai delivery boy. All are affected by the lure of a Mayday gathering and the three separate stories intersect at one particular Mayday concert in Shanghai. Established in Taiwan in the late 1990s, Mayday has remained popular for over a decade by tuning into a Taiwan youth beat and pushing rock music in Greater China. Most songs are performed in Mandarin with some Taiwanese Hokkien tracks by band.

A normal summer morning in "Outstanding Pool House," Shine is getting ready for school. Shine is a beautiful and chic girl, but there is a bit of melancholy in her face. Six months ago, her parents died in a terrible car accident and left her nothing beside this pool house. Now, Shine even needs to face the fact that she will be sent to a foster home if there is no one from the family that can come and take care of her. Feng, Shine's uncle, an ex-expert in billiards knows this and decides to come home and takes care of his niece. However, Shine does not appreciate this since, first of all, she is not familiar with his uncle at all. Secondly, after losing everything for gambling, Feng drinks and smokes all day, and those are what Shine hates the most. All in all, how can these two people find the way to reconnect with each other through billiards? Moreover, how can they see the love that runs in their veins for making them the family?

Wen Yifan, by chance, ends up living with her high school classmate Sang Yan, whom she once rejected. They keep their distance until Wen Yifan learns from Sang Yan that she sleepwalks, intertwining their lives once more.
