March 1965. In the heat of the Cold War, the USA and the USSR are competing for supremacy in space. What both superpowers aim for in this race, is to be the first to have a man walk in outer space. To accomplish that, no price is too high and no risk is too great. Now it’s up to the unlikely duo of a seasoned war veteran and a hot-headed test-pilot to fulfill this mission. Two men in a tiny spaceship, without proper testing, facing the complete unknown. They were supposed to do what no man has done before—and no man imagined what would happen next.

The film covers the heroic defence of the Brest Fortress, which was attacked during the first strike of German invaders on June 22 1941. The story describes the events of the first days of the defence, including the three main resistance zones, headed by the regiment commander, Pyotr Mikhailovich Gavrilov, the commissar Efim Moiseevich Fomin and the head of the 9th frontier outpost, Andrey Mitrofanovich Kizhevatov. Many years later veteran Alexander Akimov again recalls the memories of the time, when he, then a 15 year old Sasha Akimov was deeply in love with the beautiful Anya and suddenly found himself in the middle of the bloody events of war.

One day, he couldn’t bring himself to deliver a death notice. Instead, he wrote a “letter from the front”. From then on, he replaced death notices with letters, and no one ever suspected the deception because the postman was a talented man – his letters seemed to be written by different people. But this didn’t last long, because during wartime, the military authorities closely monitored the mail.

Remezov must act unpredictably, setting traps for the elusive killer. And now the killer has been captured, but powerful patrons free him from prison and give him the opportunity to flee abroad. Double Passing (Dvoynoy obgon) is a 1984 Soviet crime movie directed by Aleksandr Gordon. Truckers Viktor and Ivan Petrovich transport a valuable cargo on a highway in uninhabited territory in the South of USSR. A pair of criminals, seasoned "Bug" and young and ill-tempered "Lyon'ka", hijack the truck. Capt. Madzhiev of the road patrol chases the truck while the truckers are hold by criminals and their life is in grave danger.

Newlyweds-builders are handed the keys to the apartment at the Komsomol wedding. Having learned that the house has not yet been completed, the young decide to take the office of the secretary of the Komsomol committee of the construction site.

Thus make a chain of recollections about the life he had lived through, now seen as a series of irrevocable mistakes and interpreted anew: it is either reconsideration or repentance. Recollections make main hero torment himself over his own past pretenses that seem ridicules now agonize and despair over his perfect indifference to everything except himself, see the horrible aspect of killing his friend, a greenhorn and a show-off. The final action of an intelligent and outstanding man is judging oneself without mercy.

June 21, 1941, Brest fortress. Lieutenant Andrey Kizhevatov, Major Pyotr Gavrilov and Commissar Yefim Fomin were engaged in daily business. There was also a boy trumpeter Sasha Akimov from the regimental orchestra, who secretly smoked and selflessly loved the girl Vera. None of the servicemen knew that the next morning they would become the commanders of the last three hotbeds of resistance, and the boy was the only link between them in the stone cauldron of the first object of attack by Nazi troops in the USSR, the Brest Fortress.

News about attacks on cash collectors in our time, alas, has become something everyday, but this event literally shocked the public: one employee of a well-known collection service was killed, another was seriously injured. The bloody crime was committed so clearly and smoothly that the investigators cannot help but suspect that the raiders have an informant among the collectors. What they don't suspect is that much more money was stolen than is listed on the documents: there was "black cash" in the car, which the authorities should not know about.
