Brazil, 1977. Marcelo, a technology expert in his early 40s, is on the run. Hoping to reunite with his son, he travels to Recife during Carnival but soon realizes that the city is not the safe haven he was expecting.

She has everything her heart desires. She's popular, loves shopping, comes from a loving family. She plays volleyball and afterwards has a smoke with girlfriends. Sports club, barbecue, hairdresser: her life is perfect. There’s only one thing that makes her stand out: she is a cow.

After being released from a juvenile detention center, Wellington finds himself alone and adrift on the streets of São Paulo, without any contact from his parents and lacking the resources to rebuild his life.
