The con artist Prince Fingernem is a regular customer of the waitresses Mona Lisa and young Vicky at the Trinidad tavern – a small, damp paradise in Nyhavn. But paradise also has a snake, of course, Mr. Schwartz, who has big plans for the area.

Hidden among the dunes on the west coast of Jutland lies HU, where fishermen struggle to earn a living. The hard and dangerous work combines HU's small population with a peculiar madness that gives free rein to emotions and intensity in all aspects of life. One day, three Copenhageners arrive in the windswept village and are both astonished and fascinated by the local free spirit.

Claudius is a journalist who loses his job and is in love with Dorte. Her father refuses to give his consent until Claudius finds a suitable job with a good salary. And then a lot happens! At breakneck speed and with insane obstacles - where, among others, the Danish-American Miss Thomson - with African masks and tomato cocktails as her specialty - plays a decisive role. Of course, everything turns out for the best - and Claudius gets his Dorte.

The mysterious Mr. Steinmetz has acquired the ability to create things and beings by will alone. Only, after a while his creations invariably disappear. He therefore approaches a famous brain surgeon, Max Holst, who he hopes can help him with this problem. When Max refuses, Steinmetz brings his doppelgänger into being to replace him.

Dirch Passer wasn't just Denmark's funniest man and most beloved comedian. He was also a workaholic and in a constant pursuit of his audience's laughter. In this documentary, colleagues, family and friends tell the story of a man who couldn't say no and ended his days on the stage he was addicted to.
