Ivan the Powerful

"Strong Ivan" is a film telling an outstanding life story of Ivan Firtsak who was born in June, 1899 in a Ukrainian village Bilky, Irshava district in Zakarpattia Oblast. At the age of 18 he became a performer with a Czechoslovak circus and travelled to 64 countries of the world, astonishing everybody with his victories. He was a weightlifting champion of Czechoslovakia, a bodybuilding champion of Europe. He earned the nickname Strong Ivan Croton for his incredible strength. Ivan Firtsak won a great number of single combats with famous wrestlers of the world. From hands of the Queen of England he received a helmet and a belt decorated with cold and diamonds. American press called him the strongest man of the XX century. In 1937 in the prime of his fame he came back to the homeland.

The "Big Difference" is created not only for the audience, but also for those who became the hero of the parody - TV presenters and actors. A guest who comes to the studio seems to see himself through a magnifying glass, because all the details are taken into account in the parody: the character's manner of dressing, speaking, diction features, plastic, makeup, hairstyle. The uniqueness of the project is that in addition to entertainment, the program also has a developmental function. After all, our guest, who is being parodied, has a chance to look at himself from the outside, to see his shortcomings and advantages. Some people like themselves, and some don't. This is the result of 100+ interviews and stories about how whole layers of culture were created in Ukraine. It is an attempt to capture the outbreak that is happening today and that we are waiting for tomorrow, to understand the strengths and weaknesses, identify trends and find answers to questions that concern. Each episode reveals an important topic: from the phenomenon of Ukrainian pop music and clipmaking to movies, comedy, street art and local clothing brands.

The Trust That Has Burst

The film is set in the United States in the early 20th century. Andy Tucker and Jefferson Peters are noble crooks. They do not engage in violent theft of valuables from citizens. Jeff's principle is to always give something in return for the money received, "be it a fake gold medallion, garden flower seeds, ointment for a gunshot wound, stock certificates, flea powder, or at least a slap." They devise scams to earn money and fulfill their dreams. Andy Tucker wants to open a library, and Jeff Peters wants to return to his home state of Utah and meet his first love.

Dovhonosyky Show

The title translated literally is "The Long Noses Show". It was a Ukrainian comedy TV show-series broadcast on TV from 18 May 1996 to 1999, combining the Ukrainian language with Russian and surzhyk. In Ukraine it was rotated on the channels UT-2, 1+1, Inter, STB. It was a product of PRO-TV television company. The program aired weekly, getting 4 seasons with a total of 70 episodes. Filming for the new episodes stopped in 1998, when the show's creators decided that it should be closed so as not to lose quality due to the lack of new ideas.
