Once again, the hotel run by brothers Ludwig and Otto König is not fully booked. This changes when Genevieve Büglmeier, a rich sausage and meat manufacturer, turns up at the hotel and wants to book the four-poster room and the entire floor for herself. But the four-poster room has been booked for Otto and Ludwig's sister, Nane. What Nane doesn't realize is that Genevieve has arrived accompanied by Herbert Faltemeier, from whom Nane has just been divorced...

Eerie things happen after Ludwig's death, which was caused by a golf ball. Brother Otto's best piece goes on strike. A catastrophe for the proven womanizer. Otto thinks this is Ludwig's revenge for dragging him onto the golf course. Sister Nane also feels Ludwig's wrath; she is keeping his begrudging will hidden. To appease him, the siblings turn to the magician Hartmut Pfähler - supposedly an expert in the supernatural.

Married vet Josef not only has a passion for dolphins, but also for other women. When his wife Barbara divorces him, Josef plunges into a life crisis and moves in with his lawyer friend Roman, whose household he thoroughly overhauls with feng shui and esotericism. In the meantime, Andreas, the third member of the family, has a child with Josef's ex-wife Barbara - but is overwhelmed as a father. Josef and Andreas join forces to form a fatherhood community. The owner of the apartment, Roman, is a nuisance and flees to Barbara.

The godless, rough-necked Ludwig Bruckmeier has repeatedly maneuvered himself into prison. Thanks to a generous donation, he is now being accommodated by his energetic probation officer Christine Wurzelbacher in Pastor Gabriel Gottwald's rectory, of all places. The man of God wants to bring the reluctant Ludwig onto the right path with the help of his kind pastoral advisor Elisabeth. But Ludwig turns the church, including the rectory and retirement home, upside down. He doesn't stop at the confessional either. There he has a lucrative encounter with Josef Wurzelbacher, the troubled husband of his probation officer.

The series is about a cruise ship that travels to places around the world.
