From the mid 1970s, it's a forgotten, but very accurate portrait of Italy at the time, capturing the most sensitive problems faced by Catholic women like prenuptial intercourse, open weddings, and homosexuality. Interlaced with real comments from priests, psychologists, sexologists and social workers, the film tells the story of the difficult path Italians had to walk to achieve sexual freedom.
