An avant-garde adaptation of the play by Georg Buchner about the last days of the Dantonists, representatives of the right wing of the Jacobins during the French Revolution. Ragon bal remake traditional ossetian music, they structure national identity in a new way. The band has no need in national clothes for their performances, because traditions already live inside the musicians. Ragon bal present the subculture of caucasian post-folk. This music exists in conditions of global world and is not mainstream, but it's difficult to imagine cultural context of the region without it.

On February 19, 2022, a screening of Dmitry Frolov's films with the participation of the director and curator of the Film Laboratory Tikhon Pendyurin took place within the Film Laboratory of the Radio House of St. Petersburg. Dmitry Frolov's lens is aimed deep into time at the deceptive shadows of the Silver Age and surreal images of the pre-revolutionary years. The director transfers to the Soviet film the ideas and dreams of the poets of that era: expressionists, symbolists, mystics and futurists. Frolov's experimental and absurdist cinematography embodies the attitudes of early cinema: to combine theater, literature, music and painting. In his films, the resurrected and hypertrophied Art Nouveau, as if in a camera obscura, reflects the key moments of the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Dadaist poet, Russian and cosmopolitan artist, creator and publisher of some of the most beautiful books of the 20th century, Ilia Zdanevitch, aka Iliazd, is a little-known but major figure of modern art. Almost half a century after his death, Ilia, a young Russian agitator, sets out on his trail.

The film details the early years of the legendary Siberian Punk/Rock group 'Гражданская Оборона' (Grazhdanskaya Oborona), and its frontman, Egor Letov.

Composer Alexander Knaifel’s work A Silly Horse consists of 15 stories for a singer and piano. Each story has its title, and these titles were used to find newsreel clips from the 20th century, which have nothing in common except that they are archive material. The music and the image magically combine to create the story of a boy who hears and sees only the words “Why dreams”, which gave this film its name.

Based on Ryunosuke Akutagawa's In a Grove, story takes place during the times of Tsar Alexander II. A lady-in-waiting tells the Emperor in his bedroom a metaphysical story about a 13th century prince who is killed in the woods under mysterious circumstances. Fairy tale characters who have witnessed the terrible death, all share their version of the events, gradually shedding light on what really happened.

After getting into a hidden from tourists village Kyus Lera will be charmed by the powerful stream of the river Katun', endless green mountains and of course fascinating types of throat signing, which is practised by Kezer Danzheev and Ezendey Balbin: karkyra, koomey, sybysky. It feels like the sound takes listener from our middle world to the upper or lower worlds and brings to the condition of the original rhythmic dance.

The host of the episode Serafima together with the Y EN will visit the repetition of their band in the studio located in Yoshkar-Ola then drive on a Zhiguli to the village Oshlamuchash, meditate during the boat trip and improvise on a birch bark with the guys. Also she will record new sounds and get familiar with ancient culture of mari nation, that always imperceptibly appears in ensemble's music.

All day long the TV shows an ice-hole. Ice-holes are the theme of the day, a winter tradition that unites believers and sportsmen, stars and walruses, the president and the unemployed. In the centre of the news reports are the topics of Baptism, fishing and the criminal chronicle. The president and a pike, the artist and the crit- ics, the oligarch and the law enforcement team – they all meet at an ice- hole in search of solutions for their problems. The jobless Muscovite, with bad habits, dives down an ice-hole for a wife, just like Sadko. The fairy- tale plots intertwine with documentary context, and it is no longer clear where reality ends. Remember Nietzsche: if you long gaze into the abyss, the abyss will also gaze into you.
