A feature-length documentary film about hip-hop DJing, otherwise known as turntablism. From the South Bronx in the 1970s to San Francisco now, the world's best scratchers, beat-diggers, party-rockers, and producers wax poetic on beats, breaks, battles, and the infinite possibilities of vinyl.

Since the birth of the male review in the late 1970s, the greatest male strippers in the world can all be traced back to one club... La Bare Dallas. La Bare gives you a behind the curtains look at the lives, loves, laughs, and loss of the current crop of dancers as well as the man that’s been going strong for over three decades since the club’s inception, Randy “Master Blaster” Ricks.

DJ Jazzy Jay starts the party off with old school jams that will slap you back to the Bronx. Z-Trip feeds you bangers and mash-up. The X-ecutioners, in their swan song performance, give you a three-man critical beatdown. Finally, Mix Master Mike unleashes monstrous beats and diabolical scratches.

This DVD follows DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist on a limited tour of their "Product Placement" mix sessions. These sessions are only two DJs, four turntables, and all 7" 45 rpm records. The dual virtuosos of the turntables wow crowds from Tokyo, London, and San Francisco.
