A female reporter is filming an investigation report about a missing porn actress in Japan. She hangs around in various video shops and interviews several people.

A pale-looking man, Kazuhiko, is being questioned by the police following the extremely bloody murder of a young woman. He begins his story with the day that two sisters, Akiko and Mayuko, moved into the house across from his. After helping the pair move in, he starts talking with the younger sister, and soon they become intimate. The relationship continues for a while, but one day the sisters suddenly pack up and disappear, but not before sharing their secret with Kazuhiko. What kind of secret could have caused him to commit such a murder? Or did he?

The Miyoshi family is a three-generation household. The grandfather, Senkichi, is incredibly virile for his age. One night, a man named Sakaki gets into the taxi driven by Masayo. He asks to be taken to a desolate stretch of coast. Although Masayo wants to avoid getting mixed up in trouble, she reluctantly starts the car after Sakaki flashes a thick wad of cash. As the taxi drives through the city at night, the two reflect on their respective pasts; both harboring a sense of loneliness, they gradually come to understand one another.

Young and beautiful germophobe Ritsuko moves into a picture perfect neighborhood with her parents, being monitored by a research team who want to cure her of her debilitating phobias.
