Loosely inspired by the director’s own memory of a girl’s disappearance from her village, the film follows Arlene, a young factory worker living alone in a rural Irish community.

Juci, the young teacher just started working there. She is the only one who understands Palkó, as in their own way, they are both suffering from the same, sometimes grotesque educational system.

Can a close friendship that began decades ago last if such betrayal comes to light? How can someone live and cope with this fact?
