When the humiliation and grief of his eldest son's shooting rampage and subsequent suicide threatens to pull him under, Rasmus leaves his family and tight-knit community and heads into Greenland's bleak landscape. As he journeys forth aimlessly on an old dogsled, he eventually finds solace in the form of a mystical hermit.

The couple of Rikke and Bo feel very lucky when they offer them a huge but dilapidated luxury apartment in Copenhagen. To pay for the necessary renovations they look for other partners to join the project, and so five new apparently perfect residents begin their new lives. But soon will strange and inexplicable events begin to happen?
