# Translation: After the death of Bilal Haji Badli, rumors spread causing his children to be shunned, leading to division within the community. The mosque also became gloomy following this incident. Haji Badri became the mosque's bilal and would strike the kerantung when prayer time arrived. One day, at the time of Maghrib prayer, Haji Badri collapsed and died after striking the kerantung. This situation shocked everyone, especially the family and villagers. Following this incident, Umar, the son of the late Haji Badri, asks permission from the imam to take the kerantung to the city where he resides to be used there. Meanwhile, Usman is appointed as a temporary bilal to continue the legacy of his late father. Ramadan arrives and Umar returns to visit his mother who lives with Usman in the village. He is surprised to see that the congregation at the mosque is far too small, very different from the previous Ramadans. Various thoughts linger in his mind at this time.
