An imaginative tale chronicling the adventures of a diverse band of crayons as they strive to protect not only their magical multihued homeland but the imagination of children everywhere from a terrifying monster.

Jasmine, a young Syrian artist, is preparing a meal with her mother when a bomb goes off, destroying their home and all their belongings. After a panicked escape, they make it safely outside only to find the destruction that remains in their war-torn city. An aid worker recovers Jasmine's sketchbook, leading us on a journey of hope and resolve for their future.

Ignored by her class, Miss Nelson mysteriously disappears one day, and the poisonous "Miss Swamp" takes over the class. The students suddenly realize they really like Miss Nelson and a search begins to find her.
