USSR, November, 1941. Based on the account by Vasiliy Koroteev this is the story of Panifilov's Twenty-Eight, a group of twenty-eight Red Army soldiers commanded by General Ivan Panfilov, that stopped the advance on Moscow of a column of fifty-four Nazi tanks of the 11th Panzer Division for several days. Though lightly armed they fight tirelessly and defiantly, with uncommon bravery and unwavering dedication, to protect Moscow and their Motherland.

In 1944, a Russian agent was infiltrated into the command of the Nazi army in the north of Ukraine. Its mission: to discover enemy plans so that the Russian army can destroy the Germans and put an end to the war.

The people's favorite, the country's best football player Fyodor Cherenkov, is not going through the best period in his life. The only thing that keeps him from despair is his dream of playing at the World Cup. But the head coach of the national team removes him from the team at the last moment. Fyodor is seriously thinking about retiring, but for the sake of his family and fans, he returns to lead his club to the championship and become the best again.

1925. There have been unrest in Western Belarus for four years now, there is a guerrilla war going on, and Soviet intelligence agents are working. And attempts by local residents to defend at least their own faith and church end in brutal suppression.

An emergency physician is accused of negligence, imprisoned, and banned from practising medicine. Released on parole, he gets a job as an ambulance driver. Being part of the ER crew, he can’t hide his medical expertise and keeps saving lives, even if ‘unofficially’. He only wants one thing — to legally practice medicine again. The life of the ER station consists of dramatic and often unconventional medical cases and tumultuous relationships inside the team. The characters’ life stories are troubled, but love heals all their wounds. Meetings and goodbyes, parents and children, personal dramas: it’s all connected in the show while the characters look for and find ways out of the most challenging professional and romantic situations.

This is the very first feature to have ever told the story of the Russian revolutionary Chapaev in such a gripping and heart-stirring manner. The series takes us through the thorny days of the national hero as the numerous layers of love and hate, pride and shame, great victory and inconsolable loss unfold.
