Pancha O'Brien, the beautiful and spirited daughter of an Irish ranch owner, is loved by two men, Sheriff Jack Webb, whom she loves, and outlaw Jim Dyke, whose attentions she repeatedly rebuffs. Jim and his men attack Pancha's ranch, burning it to the ground and killing her father. The outlaw carries her to his cabin, where Wan-o-mee, his jealous squaw, tries to stab the girl....

In one of the early attempts at a feature-length film in Belgium, director Andre Cavens has come up with a slow-paced, mediocre melodrama that revolves around a conflict between a woman's needs and her responsibilities. The young wife is unhappy with the way her marriage is going (or not going) and she decides that she needs a break to come to grips with the situation. While she is taking a leave of absence from home and hearth she meets a companionable young man who by his very nature provides her with everything she misses in her husband and marriage. But is that any reason to either start an affair or seek a divorce?

Edith Frome (Stevens) finds it impossible to live with her alcoholic husband Arthur (L ‘Estrange), and finally leaves him. After three years she returns but leaves each evening, returning late arousing the suspicion of her husband. Having her followed he soon learns that she visits a child. Suspecting the worst because of her friendship with Dr. David Brett (Phillips), he institutes divorce proceedings. Edith confesses the truth about the child and Arthur, realizing his folly, swears off liquor and they are reunited.
