A motley of vacationers on a bus headed for a week long vacation at a seaside resort. Everything points to the masked killer targeting Karin Tomečková, whose parents were brutally murdered eight months ago. The murders are increasing, as are the number of suspects. The police are trying to catch the killer before it's too late. The killer could be anywhere.

Lovers & Murderers is about the ongoing war between those who have and those who want to have what the others have. The have-nots see themselves as poor victims trying to get for themselves what is justly theirs. But when the have-nots become haves, they continue to see themselves as victims of the hordes baying for what is justly theirs, and they have neither the energy nor the security to enjoy what they have obtained. The movie takes place in the microcosm of a small apartment building. The principal goal of the young people who share rooms in the building is to move into their own room and, some day, a real apartment. They scheme to get what they're after: form short-lived alliances, petition, frighten, marry, become pregnant, anything that might work. Lovers & Murderers presents Páral's vision of mankind caught in a cyclical process in which ideology pales before the pettiness, cruelty, and self-justification of human nature.

An irresponsible playboy whose life revolves around making women happy discovers that there is such a thing as paternal and partner responsibility. A seemingly perfect married couple is confronted by fate in the form of a young refugee from a children's home. A successful and confident manager has found his soul mate, but introducing her to his parents is a nightmare for him. Two lonely people who have given up on happiness and finding the right person may get one more chance.

Divorce doesn't have to spell disaster. Even with alternating care, it can be fun. Especially when such quirky characters as ours are involved. Sure, even in One Family, things get rough sometimes, but love always wins in the end. Because more parents mean more love.
