Josef Nötzli has swapped his job as an accountant for a chicken farm in Switzerland. He wants to be just as successful as his twin brother John, who he believes runs the Aurora Hotel in Berlin. In reality, however, John is one of the biggest underworld bosses, and the "Aurora" is Berlin's most famous brothel. When John suddenly dies in Bangkok, Max, John's partner, wants to prevent anyone in Berlin from finding out about John's death at all costs. First, with Josef's help, he has to get the black money from the bank. Under the pretext of having to accept the inheritance, Max brings Josef to Berlin. Once there, of course, everyone believes that Josef is John, the feared underworld boss, and so a maelstrom of confusion ensues.

It's Loriot's birthday. Reason enough to show him as he really is. Evelyn Hamann interviews him in the TV studio where he always records his show. A lot of guests are invited, mostly people who played in Loriot's show, and a big surprise is announced for the end. - This fake celebration shows Loriot as a bitter old man, his guests as humorless bourgeois and Evelyn Hamann as an overtaxed presenter who can't save the show.

A confusion makes the loving, slightly chaotic family man Christoph come to the conclusion that he has only a few months to live. Full of panic, the control freak decides to make provision for the time after his death: He is determined to find a suitable man for his soon to be widowed wife Friederike. However, the search for a worthy successor is more difficult than expected.

The journalist Julia Schiller has kicked out her faithless husband Wolf, but her teenage daughters Anna and Lena and the cheeky twins Anton and Philipp keep her busy. When her sprightly aunt Isolde starts working as a hobby detective on the trail of a poisoner in her retirement home, the children sense an adventure and help her. But then Isolde suddenly disappeared too. Julia is very worried and asks Wolf for help again.

The professionally successful fund manager Sandra surprises her fiancé Gregor in a compromising situation with a stormy nurse and subsequently dumps the doctor. When she urgently needs a male companion for a business dinner with conservative foreign investors and turns to a gigolo agency, Gregor slips into the role of the hired man in order to convince his fiancée of his innocence in this ticklish situation.
