A ranch foreman helps his fiancé--the ranch's owner--who is having problems with a gang of cattle rustlers. Her girlfriend from back East is visiting her and has fallen for a cowboy who is secretly a member of the rustlers. He tells this to the gang's leader, who plans to use the owner's friend in a scheme to gain control of the ranch.

"Flash" Lanning returns to Bozzam City from the East to put an end to cattle rustling. Gloria Hallowell, who has known him by reputation, falls in love with Lanning but believes that he loves Ellen Bosworth, an eastern "lady." Campan, the leader of the rustlers, hoping to lure Lanning into a trap, kidnaps both girls. Lanning rescues the girls, punishes Campan, and indicates to Gloria that she is the girl for him.

A ranch owner runs afoul of a land grabber, and both of them are in love with the same girl, the daughter of a railroad owner.

When Gawne finds his brother dying and hears that the killer has run off with his brother's wife, he swears revenge.

Janet Allison witnesses Art Holden and his gang hold up the Station Agent. When she identifies Holden to the Sheriff, the Sheriff gives Holden an alibi. Janet and Jim Fentriss then find Holden's secret hideout. When Janet returns the next day to meet Jim, Holden makes her a prisoner and waits in ambush for Jim to arrive.

"Squint" Taylor owns a ranch and has a much older mining partner. When the partner is fatally wounded, he makes Taylor promise to take care of his daughter Marion. Taylor is more than happy to do his bidding, but Marion and her uncle are both involved with William Carrington, who is trying to cheat them out of her share of the mine.
