Thanks to a conspiracy between the girl and the dog, the whole family ends up on vacation in the middle of the Šumava "wilderness." At first, the alternative vacation seems idyllic. None of the adults who find themselves in their vicinity can be sure that their lives will not change, whether they want it or not.

The story takes place in the small town of Podlesie, which was once invaded by the Turks. The good fairies were - in good faith - asked for help, but it consisted in hurting others. This has not brought happiness to the town, and it needs to be put right... Perhaps the young blacksmith's nephew Tonko will succeed.
