Once upon a time there was a miller who had three sons. When the miller died, the three sons shared the inheritance. The oldest, Hermann, got the mill, the second, Hubert, the donkey, the third, Hans, the tomcat Minkus.

'Limbus' is a film about abandonment and growing up too soon and too fast: With his alcoholic mother unable to function and his father absent, nine year old Marc desperately tries to take care of his little brother as well as his mom in order to keep the family from completely unraveling.
