Darman, his daughter Ida, and Slamet the servant, go into the woods to hunt. Ida was lost when Darman and Slamet are chasing a tiger. Ida ends up in Tarsan's hut. They become close though at first, Tarsan has problems speaking the Indonesian language. Then he agrees to go to the city and learn how to be an urbanite. It is not easy as he is even harassed by Ida’s friends who do not like him.

Mbok Puspo’s cafe, at the edge of Kalimas, under Jembatan Merah or “Red Bridge”, is a meeting place for many. Mbok Puspo also sells rags for additional income while her adopted daughter, Sudiasih, runs the cafe and is the shining beauty of the place. Meanwhile, Mbok Puspo is in a dilemma when she receives a letter from her child, Sri Bidari, who was adopted by a rich family.

The insane Dullah who wanted to work hard after getting the message, also fell in love with the local girl, Siti.

The film is a "reconstruction" of the real event of Sum Kuning’s rape that happened 10 years before, and sums up the lack of justice in the Indonesian courts. Sumirah, is raped by four vandals but during the investigation, the event is given a ridiculous interpretation when Sum is forced to confess that she was trying to gain popularity for herself. During the trial, the true facts are revealed gradually and this ranks as one of the best courtroom films ever made complete with spirited and lively dialogue.

Benny is a college student who studies farming. He gets an assignment to go to a village while he works on his thesis. On his way there, he meets Erni, a high school friend who is also heading to the same village. In the village, he stays in the house of the village chief and his daughter, Euis, is a beautiful young woman. During his work, the locals often distract Benny, since they want Euis’ attention. The relationship between Euis and Benny deteriorates further when Erni comes with her group. The misunderstanding is overcome when she realises that Erni comes to join the harvesting party in the village and to entertain them with her singing.

Rafiq, a sheepherder in a village, loves to sing. His voice is always heard in the village and over the farms. This attracts the attention of Santi, a famous singer who is vacationing in the village. When they meet, she sympathises and even falls in love with him.

The colonial court sentenced Tohir harshly on 22 September 1938. The sentence is made harsher because the prosecutor, Hasan, discriminates more on Tohir’s lineage than his crime. But in fact, Tohir commits his crime out of necessity as his wife is pregnant and about to give birth. He is sentenced to hard labor in exile so when he finds out that his wife and child are dead, Tohir escapes and kidnaps Hasan’s son, Husin. He raises the son in a life of crime, but lives like a respectable man. Husin also lives a double life. He is loved by an innocent girl in the village, but in other places, he plays around with women. In his old age, Tohir becomes a drunk and then he finds out that the government has awarded Hasan for his services. He uses Husin, nicknamed Boy, to avenge himself by sending him to rob Hasan’s house. Husin fails and is sent to trial. There, while drunk, Tohir reveals who Husin really is. Hasan and his wife then welcome Husin back.

Spoof based (loosely) on an old Indonesian film, which has had the old foreign soundtrack removed and replaced by an over-dubbed English track. Central character is a female wrestler who has decided that she no longer wants to wrestle, but whose mother (a former wrestler herself) wants her to keep wrestling to make money so her brother can have the operation (his seminal vessels run to his skull, rather than his groin, which purportedly will cause his head to explode if he gets too excited). During the course of her story (in which a number of brawls ensue), she is befriended by a Elvis-impersonating martial artist. This recut/redubbed version is 72 minutes long.

Renny Basuki is a young woman and a former judo champion who, after her father's demise, tries to look after her impoverished family. When her younger brother is diagnosed with a deadly disease, she is desperate to afford his surgery costs. There is a robbery in a village far from the city, and the robbers not only steal, they also kill. Yanti is raped and is taken to Jakarta. Both her parents and her younger sibling are murdered by the robbers. Rachman, who really loves Yanti, finds her in a night club. Although she has become a prostitute, Rachman still loves her. They escape the brothel and marry in the village. Yanti receives martial arts lesson from Rachman’s grandfather and decides to take revenge on the robbers and the pimp who trapped her in prostitution. With numerous tactics and great fights, Yanti and Rachman manage to defeat the criminals and the pimp.

A gang of assassins murder Wendy’s husband, Johan, during their honeymoon. Handoko, the gang leader orders his girlfriend, Hany, who is actually Windy’s friend, to capture her. Later, we see Windy becoming a disciple of Harun the cleric, who is also her father’s teacher. After the tutelage, Windy returns to find her husband’s murderer. She disguises as a taxi driver and helps the police arrest many criminals. Hany, who is actually a police undercover in Handoko’s gang, shows up once again. Both infiltrate Handoko’s headquarters but are captured. When they finally escape, they release Handoko’s prisoners.

Containing eight songs, the film is like TV variety show of music and singers. Charma, an architecture student, falls in love with Anita. Thanks to advice from Bagio Sumarto, an old artist, Charma manages to win Anita, even though her mother, who has a royal lineage, considers that an artist would lower the family’s prestige. It was a strange assumption, present at the time of the film’s production. Charma then helps Bagio realise his dream of building a village for artists by staging a big successful show. And Anita turns out to be the daughter of Bagio who has long been separated from his wife.
