The lives of peaceful fishermen living on the western coast of Kerala change when a stranger with ulterior motives visits their village for business.

Sreedharan is a kind-hearted lorry driver who helps people in times of need. However, his life becomes hell when his beloved friend tries to interfere in his personal matters.

Gopinathan (Jagadish) works as a textile shop salesman who struggles to make ends meet. Returning from work one day, he accidentally comes in possession of a suitcase from a criminal being chased by the police. The suitcase contains gold and Gopi thinks that it will end his troubles; however things are not easy as it seems.

Pranayavarnangal is a Malayalam film released in 1998. Directed by Sibi Malayil, the script was written by Jayaraman Kadambaattu and Sachithanandan Puzhangara. Suresh Gopi, Manju Warrier, Divya Unni, Biju Menon, Rajendran and Janardanan appeared in leading roles. The film was a big hit at the box office.

Poovalli Induchoodan (Mohanlal) is sentenced for six years prison life for murdering his classmate.
