Despite the war, deep in the mountain there is a small railway station from which logs are taken from. Occasionally, gunfire is heard from the surrounding forests between partisans and Germans. Refusing to accept the reality, the station chief wants to maintain his established peace.

This movie takes place at the beginning of the First World War, somewhere in the Bosnian province; it's a great story that tells about the dramatic conquest games over Bosnia and the First World War, reflected in the Bosnian province.

The main subject of the Bosnian folk tale “The Golden Apple and Nine Peacocks” is love between two young people. But it is not any kind of love, but the true one, pure in which both sides are ready for various renunciations and concessions, just to be with their loved one.

Three stories are put together as an omnibus: 1) The adventures of a little girl named Zorica who tries to find her dog while her mother thinks she's in the kindergarten. 2) The clash between a group of boys with the superintendent of a building who doesn't let them keep a dog in the housing. 3) A group of boys play with a stolen revolver.
